CHANGING THE JEWISH COMMUNITY’S ATTITUDES TO HEARING LOSS
… and creating an inclusive community
Living with hearing loss presents barriers
everywhere. The Jewish community is rightly
proud of its many excellent community
organisations but, sadly, recent research shows
that deaf and hard of hearing people often feel
excluded due to lack of awareness about hearing
loss, leaving them disadvantaged and unable to
bene昀椀t from the specialist support they need.
That’s where Hearing Matters in Our Community
steps in. We’ve got years of experience living and
working with hearing loss and we’re here to help
our wonderful community organisations make
their services truly welcoming and accessible —
so that service users can feel con昀椀dent that
they are informed about hearing loss and have
measures in place to include and welcome them.
