Lielle runs 5K for JDA —
and raises £2,000!
On Sunday 1 June 2025, Lielle Honickberg and her
family ran the Hyde Park 5K Run to raise funds for
JDA’s Family Services.
The 5K run went very well — Lielle and her family
completed the run and raised a fantastic £2,000
for JDA!
As part of Lielle’s Bat Mitzvah, back in December,
she came up with the idea of a sponsored run to
raise money for her favourite charity and then
insisted that her parents, Taryn and Jason, and
older sister, Aimée, join her!
Lielle said, “I really enjoyed the run. It was di昀케cult
and I had cramp, but I kept going and made it to
the end. Even though I wasn’t as fast as I wanted
to be, I am still really proud of myself and my
family for doing it with me.”
Lielle was diagnosed as deaf when she was just
昀椀ve days old. JDA has been there for her and her
family since that time. To show her appreciation
for JDA’s support, she wanted to challenge herself
to do something she doesn’t 昀椀nd natural!
Well done Lielle! And a BIG thank you — to you
and your family — for doing this wonderful
thing for JDA!
