JDA's Bat Mitzvah Girls
Last December two of our JDA
children, Ella and Lielle, celebrated
their Bat Mitzvah and they wanted
to share some details of their
wonderful day with us.
Ella writes:
In December, I celebrated my Bat Mitzvah
surrounded by my closest friends and family, and
it was everything I could have hoped for!
The night was 昀椀lled with laughter, especially at the
photo booth with all its funny props.
The energy was amazing with incredible dancers
keeping the party going — they even managed to
get me on stage — and the food was absolutely
delicious! My favourite moment? Dancing and
jumping in the middle of my friends, feeling pure joy.
I’m so grateful to my parents for making this
unforgettable night possible — it was truly the
best celebration ever!

Lielle writes:
My Bat Mitzvah was on 21st December 2024.
I celebrated with family and friends by saying a
speech in shul and sponsoring a Kiddush. Later
on that day we had a Havdalah ceremony at my
house. Celebrating this milestone with all my
family was very special as my grandparents, aunts,
uncles and cousins were able to join me.
I also joined the Yad Vashem Bat Mitzvah Twinning
program and got to learn about my family's history
during the Holocaust which was very interesting.
I really enjoyed shul and having all my friends
around me.
The 昀椀nal part of my Bat Mitzvah celebration is a
trip in the summer to Thailand with my family so
my celebrations aren’t over yet.
